Whatever your activity

Whatever your activity

Summer means heat. And heat means every single piece of clothing you’re wearing matters more. You need gear that handles sweat, gives you freedom of movement, and doesn’t cling to your body after ten minutes. Here’s the guide to what you actually need - whether you’re training for a personal best or just for the joy of it.

Less is more - but the material makes all the difference

In summer, it’s about having as few pieces as possible with the highest possible function. A good t-shirt or singlet, a pair of shorts, and perhaps a lightweight baselayer - that’s all you need for most activities.

But there’s a big difference between a regular cotton t-shirt and a training top made for heavy sweating. Cotton absorbs moisture and holds it. Synthetic training apparel moves it away from your body, keeping you dry and light.

Rule of thumb: If the fabric sticks to your skin after the warm-up, it’s the wrong material.

RaceX baselayer – one piece, every workout

Swix RaceX has been a favourite among athletes across multiple sports for years. The reason is simple: it works for everything. Running, cycling, rowing, hiking, strength training. Same piece, same performance. RaceX is made to transport moisture fast, fits close without feeling tight, and holds up to daily use and daily washing. New for summer are updated colours, but the same fit and quality that’s made it Swix’s bestseller.

RaceX

«There are two things what I do with Swix RaceX baselayers. I workout with them daily and I wash them daily. In both these things they are fast and durable.»

Perttu Hyvärinen, Swix athlete, Team XC Finland

Perttu trains at the highest level year-round. The fact that he uses RaceX daily - and washes it daily - says a lot about its durability. It’s not a piece you save for race day. It’s a piece you use hard, and it holds up.

For those who train for the joy of it

Not everyone chases records. Many people train because it gives them energy, because it’s social, because it’s part of everyday life. Maybe you run with friends on Tuesdays, hike at the weekend, or mix strength and running through the week.

The Swix Active collection is made for exactly this. Comfortable, clean-looking gear that works for your run, your gym session and your outing with friends - without needing to change between activities.

The collection offers a wide range of t-shirts, shorts, tights and hoodies in colours that work both during training and after. The fabrics breathe, the fit gives freedom, and the design is timeless enough that you don’t need a new collection every year.

The Swix RaceX baselayer is my essential training companion, worn year-round to enhance my performance. It’s my go-to piece no matter the type of workout.

William Poromaa, Swix athlete, Team XC Sweden

William is one of Sweden’s best cross-country skiers, but uses RaceX for all types of training - not just skiing. That underlines the point: this isn’t a niche piece for cross-country. It’s a training essential that works, whatever you do.

For the youngest athletes

The Swix Junior collection delivers the same quality as the adult range, in classic colours and a fit that handles everything active kids put their clothes through. A smaller collection than previous years, but focused on what actually works.

In short: For kids with big dreams and plenty of energy. Gear that keeps up.
