Ebba Andersson: The making of a World Champion

Ebba’s talent quickly became undeniable, and choosing cross-country skiing was the natural next step.

"I realized that endurance sports suited me, and I was quite good at running," Ebba recalls. "But skiing was so much more fun — that made me stick with it."

One of the best skiers in the world

As a teenager, she became one of Sweden's most promising young skiers, climbing through the ranks with impressive results. Over the years, dedication and hard work turned her into one of the strongest athletes in the sport.

Reigning world champion, chasing more

Ebba is the reigning world champion, having won gold in the skiathlon and the 30km event at the previous world championship. She is one of the biggest favorites for medals at the Trondheim 2025 World Championships.

"My plan for the upcoming World Championships is to be as good as I can be," she says. And given her track record, that means one thing — fighting for medals.
