The waxing recommendation is based on testing carried out along the course.

STRUCTURE

  • Rilling tool: Swix rilling tool
  • Structure: 1.0 mm straight groove
  • Execution: Medium pressure on the rear ski

GLIDE – EASY OPTION

  • Melt in Swix HS06.
  • Let cool.
  • Heat in once more.
  • Let cool, scrape with a plexi scraper.
  • Brush with Swix bronze or steel brush.
  • Apply Swix HS7L Liquid.
  • Brush with Swix red or blue nylon polishing brush.

GLIDE – RACING OPTION

  • Melt in Swix DHFF White Marathon as a base.
  • Scrape and brush.
  • Then apply:
    • Swix DHP White Marathon powder, or
    • Swix PC100 WC powder.
  • Let cool.
  • Scrape with a plexi scraper.
  • Brush with Swix bronze or steel brush, followed by horsehair.
  • Finish with Swix red or blue nylon polishing brush

Additional:

PC100 can advantageously be fleeced with rotofleece before scraping and brushing.

GRIP – FOR TODAY’S CONDITIONS

  • Roughen the kick zone thoroughly with sandpaper, grit #100.
  • Spray on a thin layer of KB20 green base klister.
    • Alternatively, apply KX20 green (thin layer).
  • Apply one layer of KN33 Nero klister*

* Late starters should concider using KN44 Nero klister instead.

SKIN SKIS

If you are using skin skis, we recommend the following procedure:

  • Clean the skins with N22 Skin Cleaner.
  • Let the skis dry for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Impregnate the skins with N20 Swix Skin Impregnation.
  • Let the skis dry for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Finally, apply N21 Skin Boost to increase both grip and glide on the skin.
