The Swix World Cup series has been developed through thousands of tests and years of research, built on the principle that you’ll always find the right wax if you follow three steps: first, identify the snow type, then check the humidity, and finally, the temperature.
For new snow with sharp crystals, choose the PF series.
All PF products are based on Crystal Shield Technology, which forms a hard, smooth layer that protects the base from sharp snow crystals.
When conditions consist of old, rounded, or artificial snow, the PC series is the best choice.
This series uses Nano Contact Technology, reducing the contact surface against coarse snow particles. The black variants contain molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂), which provides extra durability, dirt repellence, and antistatic properties.
When conditions are dirty, icy, or extremely abrasive, PM (Molybdenum Powder) is the safest choice. It works from –30 to +10 °C, both in cold, dry snow and wet, dirty spring snow. The high molybdenum content makes the wax extremely durable, providing low friction even in highly abrasive conditions.
The World Cup series is also available as liquid topcoats.
Powder products deliver maximum performance and durability. The liquid versions can be applied on top of powders for extra speed in humid or spring conditions – or used alone for a simpler process.
When you face dirty or extreme conditions, PM powder or LC100 liquid are always safe choices.
The World Cup series covers the full range – from dry new snow at –20 °C to wet slush at +10 °C. The system is designed to make correct waxing simple: first snow type, then humidity, and finally temperature.
With this guide, you’ll have the confidence to wax right – whether you’re preparing skis for a World Championship start or a local race.
