Roto wool application, increasingly popular in racing, offers a superior ski feel and efficient wax application, especially effective for hard waxes.

In recent racing seasons, the use of the Roto wool application has become increasingly popular. This method provides a great sensation while skiing, particularly during the first few kilometers. Moreover, it is an efficient way to apply wax on the skis.

We recommend using our TS Turbo series (TST) specially designed for roto wool application. These waxes have shown excellent results in all conditions and are often used as a top-up to an ironed wax.

Roto Wool is effective with harder waxes like PS06, PS05, PS Polar, HS06, HS05, DHFF, and DHBFF in cold and dry conditions, as well as all types of snow. The application is especially useful in artificial snow.

For optimal effect, we recommend a drill with a minimum rpm of 1800. From experience, even higher speeds often give even better results.

Dedicate one part of the wool for application and the other part for polishing.

  1. Apply the wax to the dedicated part of the wool. Rotate with low speed and hold the wax to the wool.
  2. Apply the wax to the ski base. Rotate with low speed and medium pressure. Start from the binding and work towards the tail of the ski. Then you work from the tip to the binding. Let the ski rest for a couple of minutes.
  3. Polish with the other side (clean side) of the wool, from tip to tail. Use as high speed as possible and very little pressure. Let the wool run 20-30 sec over the ski base.

Tip: You can use the same wool for different products, but you will then have a mix of the products you have used. To avoid mixing products, you need a separate wool for each product.
